Updated May 15, 2018 12:33:10 LG Electronics announced today that its LG Electronics Mobile Electronics segment has unveiled the LG G5 and the LG V30 smartphone.
The G5 is a smartphone that LG Electronics calls the “most powerful smartphone ever created,” and the G5 will feature a Snapdragon 810 processor and the latest LG Smart Connector 4G LTE.
It is also rumored to feature a dual camera setup with the first camera being a 5-megapixel selfie camera and the second being a 13-megaphone with the second camera being the 2.5-megapixels selfie camera.
The LG V60 is expected to be the successor to the G3.
The V30 will be available in a 10.7-inch display with a 5.2-inch 1080p display, which is also the same resolution as the G4.
The device will be powered by a 2.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 835 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 5,300mAh battery.
The smartphone is expected for a May 24 launch date.
The company has previously said it plans to unveil at least two new smartphones, including a new flagship model that it calls the LG F3, which will have a 5 inch QHD+ display.
Other products will include the LG B2 and LG G4, both of which will feature an OLED display.
The upcoming G5 smartphone is the company’s first smartphone since the V30 launched in 2017, and the first LG smartphone to use a Snapdragon processor.
LG has also released a teaser image of the LG phone with its 5-inch OLED display, and that image is now available on LG’s website.
The phone is rumored to be available for preorder at the beginning of May.
LG Electronics has also previously said that it will begin selling smartphones in Europe in March 2019, and it has also confirmed that it is going to sell smartphones in Asia and the Middle East in 2019.
The next generation of LG phones are expected to come out sometime in 2019, though LG has not revealed when exactly that will be.
The Korean company is expected not to release a new smartphone until 2019, so LG is likely looking to release its new flagship smartphone this year.
