The AP reached out to several companies in the industry for an in-depth look at the rapidly expanding digital created market.
But for now, they are happy to talk about the possibilities and make the case for the rise of the digital created item.
“Digital created items represent a new type of marketing opportunity for publishers,” said Josh Ritzheimer, a senior vice president of digital media and content at CBS Interactive.
“It’s a way for them to reach their audience, it lets them monetize more effectively, and it’s a great way to give your fans something they can share with others.”
